Senior UX Designer

We’re looking for an experienced UX designer who can elevate Metadata’s product experience. In this role, you’re responsible for creating user-centric designs that enhance our B2B SaaS product’s usability and overall user experience, impacting thousands of marketers’ daily work. As a UX Designer, you'll dive into user research, working closely with product managers and engineers to engage with our customers and understand their current pain points, then transform them into an exceptional design and experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Get to know our users and what they need to get their jobs done. Interview them. Run through wireframes and prototypes. Ask why, again and again. Learn their workflows, wants, and frustrations. 

  • Use what you know about our customers and leading UX & usability practices to create experiences that entice and retain users.

  • Develop data-informed, opinionated proposals for ideal user experiences, then collaborate through definition and development to ensure real solutions still sing. 

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers and data scientists through discovery, definition and implementation, bringing, challenging, and refining ideas and solutions. 

  • Understand how datasets are created, manipulated, and turned into insightful, actionable value for users. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with (and a strong perspective on) information architecture, visual hierarchies, design systems, and reusable component libraries

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to influence cross-functional collaborators and evangelize the value of great, strategic UX

  • Firm understanding of usability principles and design best practices

  • Experience in UX Design tools such as Figma

  • Portfolio showing a range of UX Design projects and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building data-oriented SaaS applications

  • Experience building marketing technology products
